The Well of Compassion
About Us

Passionate about the land and the natural energies around us, we live in Irelands beautiful and remote northwest. We are stewards of a smallholding consisting of mature woodland and meadow, which the beautiful Skeanada River winds through. Here we work with land energies and plant spirits, we garden, live and love.

Niamh is a craft worker, weaving the traditional crios, used as a cord in the Celtic wedding custom of handfasting. She also is a skilled dress maker and makes up the drum bags from upcycled materials.
She aslo brings her skill to the rattles with her keen stitching and colorful taste
She is fascinated by the folklore of trees and plants and with working with their energetic qualities.

Having studied as an artist and sculptor, Will blends his eye for beauty with his shamanic training, bringing artistic and intentional awareness to the creation of sacred objects. He is passionate about bringing clear intention and impeccable energy to the items he makes, allowing the natural materials to speak and show their beauty.

Combining our love of shamanic techniques and natural materials, we create sacred objects imbued with the energy of the land.

By Will

On my path as an artist and healer I have been requested and guided to paint shamanic drums for fellow travellers on the healing path and this space grew as a result of that work.

As an artist I have a great love of the magic and beauty of art, however as my own spiritual practice deepened I began to see the importance of the energetic component underlying each image and how the intent and clarity of the artist infused each work.

As a healer who works with the plants and the land as the keys to consciousness, health and creativity I have developed an intuitive way of working through a combination of visualization, energy work, plant songs and blessings to help channel and imbue the drums with healing energy.

The drum is an outer manifestation of the energy that has been called in and imprinted within the drum so that when it is activated through drumming it assists in the call to Spirit.

The drums are also cleansed with Sage, Tobacco and Water from the sacred wells of Ireland, where I live.

The tradition of the circular drum in the British Isles goes back to ancient times.
